Adult-Only Hotels In Las Vegas – On The Strip & Downtown

Key Points:

  • On the Strip, Cromwell stands alone as the only adult-only property.
  • On Fremont Street, El Cortez, The Oasis at Gold Spike, and Circa require hotel guests to be 21+.

Las Vegas is a mecca for adults, and while some choose to bring their kids, many of us prefer to avoid them at all costs. There are few greater buzzkills than kids running through your legs as you partake in the many vices that Sin City has to offer.

Now, children have never been allowed on the gaming floor per se, but many resorts have looked to attract families with amenities like arcades, rides, and other kid-friendly activities.

While resorts like Circus Circus, Excalibur, and New York New York have earned a reputation as more being kid-friendly than others, a growing number of resorts are moving to the other end of the spectrum and barring kids entirely.

Below I’ll dive into the small, but growing number of hotels in Las Vegas that have become adult-only properties.

Adult-Only Resorts on the Strip

Cromwell

A boutique casino and resort property that is part of the Caesars Entertainment family, Cromwell requires guests to be 21+ to enter. The only exception to that rule is Giada’s restaurant, where kids are still allowed.

The small 188-room property is among my favorites due to its location smack dab in the middle of the Strip and intimate gaming floor.

Cromwell underwent quite the transformation from its previous identity as Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon and now boasts a luxurious, swanky vibe. Put this adults-only resort at the top of your list if visiting the Las Vegas Strip.

You can see my recent Cromwell hotel review here, and current deals being offered through Caesars, here.

Adult-Only Resorts Downtown Las Vegas

Circa

Seriously, Circa is glorious

The newest hotel and casino property in downtown Las Vegas has opened as an adult-only resort. In addition to being 21+, Circa’s impressive amenities differentiate the resort from its peers. Notably, Circa has a 2-floor casino that boasts a 3-story sportsbook as its crown jewel.

Circa also offers a stunning rooftop pool amphitheater with a 125-foot TV screen, 2 swim-up bars, and poolside gaming. For our money, there is no better place to watch a sporting event than the Stadium Swim pool deck at Circa.

But the best part about the pool? There won’t be kids with goggles swimming through your legs as you tip beers.

Vegas Vickie has also been restored and her neon glow can be seen from much of the casino floor.

Like with Cromwell, there are exceptions to the adult-only policy. Kids are allowed at the upscale Barry’s Downtown Prime steakhouse, but other than that, you’ll find the resort to be kid-free.

El Cortez

The historic El Cortez, once owned in part by mobster Bugsy Siegel, will now exclusively serve adults aged 21+.

Admittedly, there isn’t much for kids to do at El Cortez anyway, which is focused primarily on the adult activities of gambling and drinking.

Kids will no longer be allowed to stay in the hotel or dine at restaurants on-site.

To ensure compliance, IDs will be checked at the door.

Oasis at Gold Spike

Set steps away from Fremont Street, Oasis at Gold Spike is a non-gaming hotel that’s off-limits to kids.

The hotel has a notable and unique selection of guestrooms that range from poolside options to the 5,000 square foot “Real World Suite” that comes equipped with 7 beds, 3 bedrooms, 3 patios, and a pool table.

Another unique accommodation offered at Oasis at Gold Spike is the 344-square-foot “Sugar Shack” tiny house. The Traveler XL Tiny Home offers both a queen and full bed, seating for 4, and its own outdoor seating area.

As of now, those are the only three adult-only hotels in Las Vegas, but I’m hoping more will join the ranks soon.

Fortunately, for those looking for an adult-only resort, there are quality options both on the Strip, and on Fremont Street.

Finally, an adult casino for adults! I've always wondered what kind of horrible parent thinks it's a good idea to bring kids of any age to Vegas. Take your brats to Disney or any of the other kid places around the country. On top of that, they're casinos, if you don't like smokey, seedy places where degenerates gamble, smoke and pick up ladies of the night... go somewhere else. If you complain about me smoking, I'll keep lighting up until you leave.

Thank You for revitalizing historic Fremont Street... WoW! Spectacular design, masterfully integrated into downtown. My next 'staycation' will be at The CIRCA... Spectacular...!
