No destination seems to inspire impulsive and questionable decisions quite like Las Vegas. Combine that carefree atmosphere with alcohol and you end up with a lot of last-minute tattoo demand.
While there are numerous other tattoo shops scattered about Las Vegas, my focus here is to exclusively point out tattoo shops on the Strip and near Fremont Street.
I’ll be sure to link out to each tattoo shop and their artist galleries so that you can easily compare your options and gauge the right artistic fit for your needs.
Before making a decision, I’d also encourage you to check the shop’s Google reviews. Not only will you get a feel for customer satisfaction, but you’ll have a chance to see a lot of final product pictures.
Tattoo Shops On The Strip
Starlight Tattoo at Mandalay Bay: Owner Mario Barth has assembled a team of 10 artists that can make your Vegas tattoo dream a reality at Mandalay Bay. Mario is highly decorated, accumulating over 200 awards from around the world. He’s also received mentions from major publications like INC Magazine, Bloomberg, and the New York Times among others.
Club Tattoo (3 Locations) – LINQ, Planet Hollywood, and Venetian: Club Tattoo offers 3 locations on the Strip at LINQ, within the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, and within the Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian.
Club Tattoo was founded by Thora & Sean Dowdell in 1995 along with Chester Bennington of the band Linkin Park. Uniquely, guests are also given the unique opportunity to use their interactive tattoo design touch screens to personalize their ink.
Hart & Huntington Tattoo at Caesars Palace: A Vegas mainstay since 2004, Cary Hart has assembled an impressive team of artists that call the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace home.
The shop even boasts some notable customers, with the most recent example being Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders stopping in for some work.
Skin Design Tattoo at Caesars Palace: Also found in the intricately themed Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Skin Design Tattoo offers both new tattoos and laser removal for those feeling some regret.
Revolt Tattoos in the Fashion Show Mall: Located in the Fashion Show Mall just north of TI, Revolt Tattoos has assembled a team of 11 artists that embody “The idea of embracing your inner rebel while taking a stance against social constructs”.
Since its founding in 2014, Revolt has expanded from its Las Vegas roots, adding shops in Lake Tahoe and Salt Lake.
Revolt Tattoo artist galleries are viewable here.
Rockstar Tattoo: Rockstar Tattoo’s Strip location can be found in a strip mall across the street from Resorts World’s main entrance. There is also a location in Downtown Las Vegas.
Ship & Anchor Tattoo at STRAT: Found on the far north end of the Strip at STRAT, Ship & Anchor employs a team of 4 artists that aim to create “One of a kind work of art” for customers.
Notably, Ship & Anchor also has a small art gallery and tattoo museum that visitors can check out for free.
Tattoo Shops On Fremont Street
LV Tattoo: If you’re partying on Fremont Street, you won’t have to walk far to find LV Tattoo, which is located above a souvenir shop next door to the Golden Nugget. If you can see the iconic Vegas Vic sign, just walk toward it and you’ll stumble into LV Tattoo.
Black Spade Tattoo: Found in the Downtown Container Park, their team of 6 artists calls a unique structure home – A black train car.
In addition to tats, Black Spade also offers permanent makeup application.
Also specializing in permanent makeup, Black Spade’s full gallery can be scoped out here.
Rockstar Tattoo: Located right on Fremont Street in the Neonopolis complex, Rockstar’s second location is steps away from the Fremont Street Experience canopy.
Downtown Tattoo: Although it’s the furthest from the action, Downtown Tattoo is a viable option for those near Fremont Street looking for new ink.
Individual artist galleries can be viewed by visiting Downtown Tattoo’s website and selecting an artist from the “Our Artists” dropdown.
Cheapest Tattoo in Las Vegas ($10!)
Koolsville Tattoo: Boasting multiple locations, Koolsville can be found in the Las Vegas Arts District, closer to Fremont Street, and north of STRAT on Las Vegas Boulevard. Their claim to fame is a selection of basic $10 tattoos.
Hopefully, I was able to help you find a tattoo shop in Las Vegas that works for you, and your artistic vision on the Strip or Downtown.
I’m equally hopeful that your permanent souvenir turns out great!

I’m a former software salesman turned Vegas aficionado. While the craps table is my preferred habitat, I pull myself away to explore new attractions, shows, restaurants, and outdoor activities around Las Vegas with the intent of sharing my experiences.
Ultimately, I just want to help folks plan a better trip and save a few bucks in the process.
