According to a survey from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, around 1% of Vegas’ 42 million annual visitors cited “getting married” as their primary reason for traveling to Las Vegas. Vegas is popular for couples looking to get married thanks to low costs and the ease of obtaining a marriage license quickly.

How To Get a Marriage License
Couples can obtain a marriage license in Clark County for $102 instantaneously as there is no waiting period and no blood test required in the state of Nevada. Note that checks aren’t accepted, but it’s 2022… checks shouldn’t even be part of your payment arsenal at this point.

You can fill out the Clark County marriage license pre-application here to expedite the process. Both parties to be wed need to be present at the clerk’s office when picking up your marriage license, although there are exceptions if your future spouse is hospitalized or incarcerated. Ensure to pack proper identification which can include a driver’s license, military ID, or Passport.
Note that your wedding license is not proof of marriage, rather, permission to actually go get married. This ceremony needs to be conducted by a licensed marriage officiant – You can use this search tool to ensure your officiant is legally eligible to conduct a ceremony. You have one year from the date of issue to put your marriage license to use.
After the ceremony is complete, your officiant has 10 calendar days from the date of the ceremony to file the marriage certificate with the clerk’s office.
How much does a Las Vegas Wedding Cost?
Baseline packages at chapels around Vegas start around $200 and include the ceremony itself with few fringe benefits.
