Key Points:
- Circa, the D, and Golden Gate are offering Canadian visitors an “at par” exchange rate, allowing you to trade 1 CAD for 1 USD.
- The “at par” rate applies to drinks at 3 bars, hotel reservations, and up to $500 of slot play.
- The “Vegas at Par” promotion runs through August 31st, 2026, and can only be redeemed by Canadians.
3 downtown casinos are offering a sweet deal to “stretch the loonie” of Canadian visitors.
Circa, the D, and Golden Gate, all on Fremont Street, are participating in the “Vegas at Par” promotion, which entitles Canadian guests to receive 1 USD for 1 CAD, with a few terms & limitations.
- Up to $500 in promotional slot play, purchasable at the casino cage.
- Receive “at par” hotel pricing at check-in (must be booked direct).
- Receive “at par” pricing at BarCanada (the D), Bar Prohibition! (Golden Gate), and the Overhang Bar (Circa).

Without the promo, 1 Canadian Dollar currently buys approximately 73 cents worth of USD.
Notably, guests don’t need to stay at one of the 3 participating properties to take advantage of the “at par” promotional slot play pricing at the 3 bars.
“At par” pricing applies whether paying with CAD, USD, or with a credit card, with discounts determined by the exchange rate. You simply need to demonstrate that you’re Canadian
In a video announcing the deal, Owner Derek Stevens recalls growing up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where he could see & hear Canada from his bedroom.
International visitation to Las Vegas has been sluggish in 2025. Data from Harry Reid International Airport shows international arrivals have declined 4.5% YTD (through Oct).
Canada was the top feeder market in 2024, sending over 1.4 million people to Vegas.
Mixed Canadian Reaction
We posted the deal on our Facebook page, and comments have landed on either side of the spectrum, with few in the middle.

While a handful of commentators expressed excitement, others have pointed out political reasons for steering clear of the United States.
- “Do better your president is a joke”
- “Your president was more than clear when he said you actually don’t need us”
- “Still no”
- “As long as this guy is running things down there…. Good luck!” (posted alongside an image of an Oompa Loompa)
- “When that evil being is gone, I will return. That creature is worse by the day.”
Clearly, there’s a little bad blood out there. Props to Stevens for extending the olive branch.
Creative Promos the Norm
This isn’t Steven’s first creative promotion. Circa offered an “All-In Summer” package that included a 2-night hotel stay, $100 dining credit, and $100 beverage credit.
Golden Gate and the D are still offering a $200 all-in deal that includes a 2-night stay & a $100 beverage credit.
Golden Gate’s “The Night Starts Here” promotion offers an open bar from 6-7 pm nightly at Bar Prohibition! – No gambling required, and all attendees receive a mystery amount of freeplay.

Coming from the perspective of a guy (me) who sees & evaluates a gazillion resort promotions annually… some with dubious or undefinable benefits… creative, differentiated promos like this fire me up.
Unlike anything offered by “the big chains”, this deal is rightfully earning a lot of buzz.
You can learn more about the “Vegas at Par” promotion on Circa’s website, here.

I’m a former software salesman turned Vegas aficionado. While the craps table is my preferred habitat, I pull myself away to explore new attractions, shows, restaurants, and outdoor activities around Las Vegas with the intent of sharing my experiences.
Ultimately, I just want to help folks plan a better trip and save a few bucks in the process.

You say that the open bar at the Golden Gate is from 5-6 pm and their website shows 6-7 pm.
