Key Points:
- Blondies $4.99 breakfast deal is one of the cheapest in Las Vegas and includes 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, and breakfast potatoes.
- The meal was good, but small portions may leave you wanting more.
Meals in Las Vegas are getting more expensive by the day, and deals are harder and harder to come by.
Fortunately, there are still several rock-solid breakfast and lunch deals in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood that include a $9.99 breakfast at La Salsa Cantina, a $7.99 lunch menu at Ocean One, and the deal being discussed in this article – a $4.99 breakfast deal at Blondies.
I thought it would be fun to swing in and order the breakfast special with the intent of sharing my experience with you.
Blondies $4.99 Breakfast
I bellied up to the bar and ordered Blondies breakfast special which consists of:
- 2 Eggs any style
- Breakfast potatoes
- Choice of 2 bacon or sausage links
A bloody mary can also be added for a mere $2.99.
Look, I’m not sure what I expected for the price, but when the meal came out I have to admit to being a bit taken aback by the paltry portions.
I posted the meal on our Facebook page and wasn’t surprised to see that folks weren’t all that impressed, with comments like:
“Did they count those 5 potato pieces by hand?”
Jeff Hunt
“Is that a split plate? 7 each on the potatoes cubes. That is like .04 cents. 2 eggs about .42 cents. 2 sausages .50 cents. So they are still making money off you.”
Dominic Mata
Now, I have no issue with Blondies making a buck or two, but let’s not beat around the bush – This is a snack, not a meal.
Taste-wise, everything was great. All 8 potato bites were seasoned to perfection and everything was warm. It was a good meal, just not much meat on the bone.
The Verdict: Is Blondies $4.99 Breakfast a Good Deal?
This is a good deal if you’re a small eater and don’t mind miniature portions. As mentioned, the meal was both warm and tasty. There just isn’t a whole lot of food here. Perhaps they’d let you order 2 at once?
If you have any appetite whatsoever, you’re likely better off skipping the deal and ordering a traditional meal off of the breakfast menu.
On a related note, Blondies is also home to one of the best all-you-can-drink deals in Las Vegas, offering bottomless well drinks and beer from 3-6 pm Monday – Friday for $20.
I’m a former software salesman turned Vegas aficionado. While the craps table is my preferred habitat, I pull myself away to explore new attractions, shows, restaurants, and outdoor activities around Las Vegas with the intent of sharing my experiences.
Ultimately, I just want to help folks plan a better trip and save a few bucks in the process.
