PopStroke – The Best Mini-Golf in Las Vegas? Yes.

Key Points:

  • PopStroke is a mini-golf concept created in partnership with Tiger Woods at Town Square, south of the Strip.

  • The Las Vegas location has 2 separate 18-hole courses, and you can play all day for one flat fee.

  • I found it to be a great experience & a compelling value.

Cost & Check-In

An adult day pass costs $35 (weekdays) or $40 (weekends), which sounded expensive until I learned it’s for unlimited play throughout the day.

All you can putt, baby!

There are also discounts available for kids, seniors, locals, and military.

The Putting Course

What sets Popstroke apart from other mini-golf options in Vegas are the aesthetics. It looks and plays like a miniature, real-world golf course.

No gimmicky clowns spitting your ball back at you, no windmills, no ramps or loop to loops – Just pure putting on a challenging course with plenty of undulations to read.

Trust me, there’s a LOT of break to read.

It’s a cool concept that hardcore golfers and newbies alike will enjoy.

There are 2 separate 18-hole courses. One easy, and one hard. Your day pass gives you access to both.

The course is constructed of turf in lieu of real grass. Each hole has a “fairway” that plays like a traditional golf green.

The fairway is lined with “rough” or longer grass, and each hole has “bunkers,” which look like sand but are fluffy white turf. Most holes also have boulders built in as obstacles.

Lining most holes is a little “wrinkle”, or hill that helps keep your ball in play (like bumpers in bowling).

You can score your game manually or use the PopStroke app. If you use the app, high scores are posted on one of two leaderboards lining the complex – A fun twist.

Another nice touch, each hole marker has 4 slots to set your drink of choice.

Also helpful.

The only qualm I had with the PopStroke experience was the proximity to the airport… meaning a jet screamed by at a low altitude overhead every 7 or so minutes, forcing us to pause our conversation.

The course itself is gorgeous, and the gameplay is quite a bit of fun. As it wasn’t crowded, we were able to take our time and never felt rushed.

A fun novelty, you even get to keep your Taylor Made ball at the end of the round.

Food & Drink

The experience at PopStroke extends beyond mini-golf, though, as they serve a full menu with items like wings, nachos, tacos, burgers, and steak. There’s even a kids’ menu.

The restaurant area offers a variety of free yard games, including Connect 4, cornhole, foosball, and ping pong, improving Popstroke’s value proposition.

There’s even a small outdoor playground for younger kids.

A small playground, which has a piece of cloth over the top to provide shade.

Additionally, there are two bars, one in the clubhouse and one on the course, that can keep you hydrated throughout the round, and draft beer options (16oz) start at a reasonable $6.50.

The Verdict: Is PopStroke Worth a Visit?

Popstroke Las Vegas overcomes its less-than-ideal off-Strip location by offering a lot for your money. We had a blast, and can’t wait to return.

You can grab an Uber or take the Deuce Bus (which runs up and down the Strip) to and from the venue.

Although the $35-$40 price tag is steep, the all-you-can-play nature of the course makes this a compelling value for folks who want to hang out for a while and sip some reasonably priced beers.

I also appreciated the free yard games. Nothing gets my blood boiling more than gambling ungodly sums of money on foosball with my brother.

Between the mini-golf, yard games, restaurant, playground, and bars, this is a place you could spend a good chunk of time at.

My brother and I evaluated this alongside the new Swingers “Crazy Golf” at Mandalay Bay, and the value proposition wasn’t even close – PopStroke was the winner.

It’s aesthetically pleasing, challenging, and a lot of fun.
